But for listening to the audiobook, I would have skipped these parts fully.

Having to listen to their long and in a way pointless conversations was rather tedious. I couldn’t find it in my heart to condemn her, but as their relationship is kind of futile from the very beginning, I did not find their particular storyline compelling either. I still liked her in this installment, despite - and against her better judgement – her becoming involved with the married regent of Gillengaria, Romar Brendyn. I liked Kirra in the first book, ”Mystic and Rider”, though she was far from being my favourite character. Her voice is particularly suited to Sharonn Shinn’s world. Jennifer van Dyck does a fantastic job, again.
